I already know the identity of one user here.
I wonder if I could get any others right...
This potential Mountain bandwagon is looking interesting.

Yes, I forgot about this game until I checked it out today, and someone just so happened to have voted for me. What's more fascinating is your reason for voting for me. A man can't be honest without getting lynched, it seems. What a world we live in.
By the way, I've always had my spidey-sense.

Post by Miles to Go on Jan 21, 2012 16:56:34 GMT -5
Oh, no, I never said that you were not being honest, necessarily, though I will note the posibility that you were.. lurking, and then popped in to say hi after someone voted. In which case I'd have to question why you'd lie about it.
The other posibility is well that, ah, you really had forgotten. You were completely oblivious. It just astounds me how convenient it was for you to pop up so quickly after someone placed a vote on you and someone proposed lynching inactives.
It's almost too convenient.
It's almost as if someone... reminded you, to check this game. Be it our dear host, or perhaps someone more sinister in nature.
Needless to say I normally wouldn't act on this aside from thinking ill of you, as it is a speculative matter, you... you simply come in here, throw out a cop out excuse with no input to the game situation, and then reply to my vote by slinging mud at my freshly cleaned suit...
An interesting reaction to votes on you.
My vote shall remain on you, I believe.
Pip pip, cheerio.

>No input to the game situation. What situation? There's really nothing of note going on here. And if you saw that reaction as slinging mud...well, I only really explained what I meant by forgetting about this game.
What's more interesting, again, is your reaction to my posts. Too convenient? Perhaps it's also convenient for you to lynch me, but I shan't make no assumptions yet.

I can see where Miles Tails Prower is coming from, but am more wary about Call The Names cheerleading a Mountain lynch while keeping their vote on May over what looks like a misrep.
##Unvote: Measure of a Man ##Vote: Call The Names If the potential Mountain bandwagon is looking interesting to you, why do you prefer lynching May Queen over a jokevote?
Mountain, you have displayed dislike of Miles in your recent posts, but you haven't seemed very clear. Do you think Miles is scummy by Day 1 for his attack on you? Yes or no.
As for general latecomers such as Tarnished Silver, I'm more concerned about the people who dropped by to encourage May without doing anything, like Measure of a Man. Prod votes are superficial in a game where we can't tell the real life situations of the other players.

Post by Mountain on Jan 21, 2012 17:18:04 GMT -5
I do not dislike Miles at all. He/she seems like a cool guy, in fact. Disliking isn't what I do.
As for whether his vote makes Miles look scummy? Can't say so early on, like I said in my post up there. It does, however, seem scummy to try and lynch someone based on so little fact and so many assumptions, when we still know so very little about this game and the people to begin with. So my final answer is, yes, possibly. Either that, or Miles is just being...very Miles.

It's not my fault my name contradicts my gender. D: Now it's really obvious who you are. Kidding.
KINGSWORD USED A TWIRLY, CURLY, LOOPDEY, THINGY "~" This can only mean one thing. I dunno, actually. Eclipse isn't playing =/ You mean tilde? OMG, WAIT, I KNOW, IT'S IRIS, SHE ALSO USES THOSE LOOPEY THINGS.I already know the identity of one user here. To be honest, it ain't that hard; everyone tends to post similarly to what they do on SF - I've figured out the identity of a few (I think), but that doesn't matter to the game. And well, I don't find May Queen suspicious/scummy for voting me at all. His/Her follow up is sound. ##Unvote: Measure of a Man##Vote: ExileExile: Your avatar link is broken. Fix it. It annoys me.

I thought it was only called a 'tilde' when it is used above a letter.
In other news, I don't think we should lynch a latecomer such as Tarnished Silver. They probably forgot about the game/have been busy.
Miles to Go seems to be looking in a bit much on Mountain's situation. Not really a big deal because it's not like we have anything else to analyze.
Not exactly sure where to go from here, but a Mountain lynch doesn't seem bad.

##Unvote ##Vote: May Queen
Don't see any merit in pressuring somebody who hasn't found the game yet presumably and I noticed you have 3 votes in 5 posts which stands out.
VOTALS-
Tarnished Silver-2(May Queen, Kingsword) May Queen-2(Call the Names, Sedna) Mountain-2(Exile, Miles to Go) Sedna-1(Fisherman's Boy) Exile-1(Inspiration) Call the Names-1(Trail of Tears)
Also I'd like actual contributions from several people whose posts have just been "fluff"

##Unvote: Measure of a Man##Vote: Call The NamesIf the potential Mountain bandwagon is looking interesting to you, why do you prefer lynching May Queen over a jokevote? I don't like the bandwagon, I mean--that's why I said I found it interesting. Miles's suspicion is sound, but that's just too hasty of an assumption to make. I find it quite fascinating that you jump to the conclusion that I want to vote for Mountain over a shaky assumption at best. I feel that during the 'jokevote' phase, scum like to guise their votes under merely being jokes and, from what I've seen, the worst victims of jokevoting become objects of pressure later on in the game. This always happens. This happens to me, this has happened to other people that I have seen. If scum, therefore, can put more heat on those players in that fashion, the general mindset will sway towards that direction, even unconsciously. And why are you defending May Queen, anyway? I never specified that I felt my vote was completely sound. Your reaction is making me wary of you now.

Post by Trail of Tears on Jan 21, 2012 20:14:35 GMT -5
Usually when people say they find a bandwagon "interesting", they're interested in joining it. The point still stands, though; just replace "If the potential Mountain bandwagon is looking interesting" with "If the players on the potential Mountain bandwagon are looking fishy".
What you said about jokevotes is something I have never observed, ever. Day 1 tomfoolery tends to be discarded once there's flips and night results to work with. From what I can tell, you just jumped the first player to vote somebody who had already been voted, which makes me question your right to criticize somebody for opportunism - not to mention that May Queen has since moved her vote. How do you feel about May Queen in light of her more recent posts?
With all of this in mind, I am not defending May Queen so much as attacking you for a questionable vote. On a somewhat related note, Inspiration, why are you putting down a placeholder when people have long since stopped joking around?

And Tarnished Silver is still missing. Awesome!
But aside from that, I really don't like the way Miles' went after Mountain. Sure, responding after a vote on you and all that stuff, but that's hardly a scumtell. A true scumtell would be via their actions and thoughts regarding other players, not "lol u came late so dai".
Still keeping vote on TS because WHERE ARE YOU

##Unvote: May Queen
I have observed it before. I know I'm having a hard time explaining it, but even when not involving jokevotes, D1 near-lynches almost always have pressure aimed at them no matter what until they die. Nothing save for completely confirming claims or reliable information will save them from the scrutiny, no matter what side they are on. At least, I know this does happen at SF sometimes.
I understand my vote was questionable because I was going off of maybe two pages of information but I wanted to get started. I might have trouble organizing clearly what I think, but I always make sure I have a reason for voting for someone, even if it seems minimal.
Also, if I know who you are, why aren't you criticizinf Kingsword for wasting their vote on an AFK? /;
